We had quite the colorful trip getting to Bora Bora.  When we arrived in Los Angeles to catch our flight to Tahiti we learned that they had cancelled our flight without telling us.  So they had to re-book our flight and put us on Stand-By - we were the last two people on the plane!

When we arrived in Tahiti capital Papeete our flight was a bit delayed and we both missed our connecting flight to Bora Bora and they lost our luggage!  Thank goodness Stephanie followed Manuel's lead of packing all Bora Bora clothes in carry-on!  What a wonderful start to our Honeymoon!

Then it got incredibly amusing - all the flights to Bora Bora were sold out!!!! So here is where Manuel's College Drama Major paid off.  Manuel told Stephanie to take off her wedding ring and to start crying. Manuel went up to the ticket counter and said that we had to get on a flight today because our family was waiting for us in Bora Bora because we were getting married on the beach on Christmas Eve in Bora Bora. Well Manuel was a good actor, they bought his story and they believed Stephanie's crying - we got on the plane and made it to Bora Bora.  And they finally tracked down our bags so Manuel does not have to wear Stephanie's clothes the whole trip!!!

Bora Bora is as beautiful as all the pictures on the travel websites. A lot more photos and a great educational video to come soon.

We decided to use one of the great wedding gifts we received from our Wedding Registry given to us by Karen Snider from Pennsylvania.  Here are some photos from the Jean Gorges restaurant on the water in Bora Bora. This was an exquisite French restaurant where everyone was very French.  Had a great Medoc French Red and the chef made Stephanie a custom vegetarian dinner. It was one of the best meals we have ever had!
